Sofie Carsten Nielsen, who took over from Morten Østergaard as Denmark’s Minister for Higher Education and Science this month, has pledged to continue reforms underway – notably improving quality and the quest for greater workforce relevance.

World Economic Forum launches online academy

Erasmus+ – What is new for higher education?

Involving students in quality assurance

The QUEST for Quality for Students project, run by the European Students’ Union, has analysed student views on the quality of higher education and identified areas in which students can become increasingly involved in quality assurance and enhancement processes.

A research team worked hard on this project for three years and presented the final outcomes on 31 October 2013. The findings have been published in four research publications and one handbook that can all be downloaded for free on the project website.

EFMD Launch Business School Impact Survey (BSIS)

At the 2014 EFMD Deans & Director General Conference in Gothenburg hosted by the University of Gothenburg, School of Business, Economics and Law, EFMD officially launched BSIS – Business School Impact Survey.

The Business School Impact Survey (BSIS) scheme is designed to determine the extent of a school’s impact upon its local environment – the city or region in which it is located.

The scheme was initially designed by FNEGE (the French National Foundation for Management Education) and is already well established in the French higher education arena.
