Key Attractiveness Indicators – IMD Criterion of the Month

By Dr José Caballero, Research Fellow, IMD World Competitiveness Center.

As part of the Executive Opinion Survey, we ask respondents to select (from a list of 15) the five indicators they perceived as the key attractiveness factors of their economy. We then calculate the percentage of responses that individual indicators receive and include these results in the country profiles of the World Competitiveness Yearbook.

The criterion of this month summarises the attractiveness indicators for Brazil (ranked 54th in the 2014 overall competitiveness ranking), Singapore (third) and Sweden (fifth).
