The new UK-wide Standing Committee for Quality Assessment will act as the sector-led steering group for activities set out in the new operating model for quality assessment ensuring the reliability of degree standards in England, Northern Ireland as well as in in UK transnational education.

Educational Systems

The Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI) has published a new policy paper, Protecting the Public Interest in Higher Education. The proposals include tighter restrictions on obtaining degree-awarding powers and university title; and broader recognition of the civic benefits of higher education.
